The Process
How to create your own Bespoke piece.

This is where we gather the basics around your project so that we can assign you to the perfect Bespoke Designer. We also answer as many questions as we can to make the process smooth sailing for you. If requested, we will endeavour to provide ballpark cost estimations at this stage, however this largely depends on the specific stones which are selected later down the track, so these estimations are always broad in their scope.

This is where your allocated Bespoke Designer will work through the process of designing your piece, working to create something personal and unique. You will work closely with your Designer predominantly via email throughout this stage, but further appointments in store or virtual are always available if necessary.

Based on the design we have finalised, our team will now ideally source several options for the perfect stone for your piece. At this stage, your Designer will also be able to provide accurate quotes for the finalised design with each proposed stone. We will present these stones to you either in person, or via HD videos and imagery via email. This sourcing stage continues as long as it takes to find the perfect stone.

Once we have found the perfect stone and finalised the design, this is secured with a 50-75% deposit. At this stage, we (Bespoke Customer Service) take over, and send over a deposit invoice and document to sign, outlining our terms and conditions.

Meet Lucy in the Sky
Tell us your story and what you are hoping to bring to life. You can ask as many questions as you like because you will be asked just as many in return.
Lucy in the Sky will gain a full understanding of what you want your piece to become. While ‘the’ Lucy will oversee all projects delivered, your curator, time frame and anticipated expense will be discussed to ensure your creation is perfect.

Here is where we will work with you for all the details that your heart desires.
While the general scope of the cost can also be provided at this time, it will largely be dependent on materials and the final, finer, details - including the source of specific stones and adornments - which are refined in the next stage.

This is where you are given options, your curator will help you find the perfect base for your creation and an accurate quote can be provided. While other stages can be completed through your preferred means of communication and we can also provide videos and imagery to accompany each item - the moment that we present the proposed piece, including gemstones, is always best done in person.

Once your piece is chosen and the design is complete we will ask for a deposit. As a commissioned piece this can range from half to three-quarters of the final cost as well as your signature on the terms of purchase. This allows for a more seamless passage of work between the artisans.

deliver
Every Lucy in the Sky item is directed by Lucy. Prior to delivery, she will ensure that every element is cohesive and born true to your design.
Delivery will also include time for your jewellery to be worn and understood within your lifestyle. This may include minor detail refinements or resizing for true perfection.
You will also receive significant support with your purchase including illustrations, photography, valuation, guarantee, maintenance and insurance advice.
